ANTIQUE GAS & STEAM ENGINE MUSEUM TRACTOR SHOWS
By Jack Larimer

Twice every year the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum located at 2040 N. Santa Fe Ave. puts on major events called tractor shows. Although engines, tractors, and the parades are the main feature, every museum on the 55 acre site is open.

The museums include spinners, weavers, the model railroad museum, clock museum, blacksmiths, train rides, many engines and mechanical devices on display and demonstrations of them running, sawmill demonstrations, a gift store, and many other interesting things to see and do.

This year during the show, we were able to talk to many of the show visitors about our museum. The spring show is always two weekends in June, the fall show is two weekends in October.

The Vista Historical Society had a booth at the June show on June 15,16,22 and 23. We were located in the grass area with other vendors. We talked to people about our museum, Vista's history, and many other topics. Thanks to our volunteers, Sharon Larimer. Mini Wong Titus, Russell Harvey, Gus Harvey and Spike Harvey.
