JACK DELPY
1902-1980

Third son of Maria and Jules Delpy. He was born at the Delpy family home in Vista July 5, 1902, and except for the times when he was away at school or serving in World War II, he lived in Vista.
He was one of Vista's early postmasters. Founded the first Chrysler-Plymouth dealership here, retiring in 1956. He was a Life Member of Vista Elks Lodge #1968. A long-time bachelor, Jack married Alice Rathner in 1953.
He died March 8, 1980. Mass was celebrated at St. Francis Catholic Church with burial fallowing in Eternal Hills Cemetery. He was survived by his wife, Alice; a son James Harrison "Jim"; daughters Jacqueline Cotten and Lisa Ann Delpy of Vista; and by his mother, Maria Hauret Delpy who, at 103 years of age, was a resident of a Fallbrook convalescent home.
